Solar light must be placed outdoor. The built-in solar panel collects and converts sunlight into DC power everyday while the pre-installed rechargeable batteries store the energy to power the light at night. The built-in sensor automatically activates the light at dusk and deactivates it at dawn.
Solar light must be placed outdoor at a location with its solar panel receiving direct sunlight at least six hours each day. Shadowed locations will not allow batteries to be fully charged and will reduce both the brightness of the light and the lighting hours at night.
It depends on the seasonal sunlight availability in your geographical area under certain weather conditions. Stronger or longer sunlight hours enable batteries to store more energy which provides more lighting hours. On a area, weaker or shorter sunlight hours reduce the lighting hours and its brightness as well.
1. To maximize battery capacity, the solar light should be fully charged by
direct sunlight for eight hours before initial use.
2. Be sure batteries are securely contacted with the correct polarities.
3. Do not place solar light near a strongly lighted object as the automatic
on/off switch may not work properly.
4. You may need to replace batteries when solar light stops working or reduce
lighting time.
The pre-installed batteries normally last about 12 months. You may need to replace batteries when solar light stops working.
Use (Nickel Metal-Hydride) rechargeable AA batteries (1.2V 1200mAh or higher mAh) to replace the old batteries.
Some cases you may need use lithium ion batteries to replace the old batteries. Please contact lumens solar lights for further details.
It does work after raining day though working time will be comparatively less. All solar lights need around 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge internal batteries in order to perform fully working period.
Batteries within the solar lights last about one to two years, and replacement batteries can be purchased to be installed within solar lights to avoid purchasing new lights. Light is produced from LEDs, which can last upwards of five years.
